Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) is a small, tropical evergreen tree in the Lauraceae family, cultivated for its aromatic, dried inner bark. It typically grows as a bush-like tree, 6-15 meters tall in the wild, but is coppiced (cut back) to about 2-3 meters in cultivation for easier harvesting of its prized bark.
